About
Adrianna is a contemporary movement artist, performer, and researcher from Poland, based in India. She collaborates with diverse human and more-than-human communities in Europe and Asia to investigate themes of connection, relation, and social and environmental justice through performance, movement improvisation, and writing. With her collective InContact in India she initiated multiple cross-cultural projects, including Lhamo Carawaan (Tibetan-Indian performance research exchange) and CONsequence (an environmental justice research project with Indian dancers, environmentalists, and a marine biologist). She has co-created multiple improvised participatory performances including Seven Stages of Love in Singapore and Connect in the UK, and teaches dance improvisation internationally, including at Kayan Festival in Abu Dhabi, a residency by CNDB in Romania, as a guest artist for USM University in Malaysia and NAFA Academy in Singapore, and more. Her articles about Contact Improvisation in India, co-written with Guru Suraj, have been presented at the CI@50 Conference in Ohio, US and published as part of the Resistance and Support publication by Ann Cooper Albright.
