About
Harmandeep Singh is a Contact Improvisation practitioner and facilitator who comes from a technical background building mobile apps and websites — he studied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and worked as a software developer before being introduced to art and body movement. Deeply touched by the practice of Contact Improvisation 8 years ago, he has since explored the different dimensions of movement and awareness it offers. To support this, he has studied movement practices including Axis Syllabus, Body-Mind Centering, the Feldenkrais Method, contemporary dance floor work, somatic practices, bodywork, and Capoeira. He is interested in facilitating, creating, and holding spaces for collaborations between various art forms and Contact Improvisation, and in exploring existing and new applications of CI in different aspects of life. He likes to travel to different places, spaces, and cultures while sharing the practice of Contact Improvisation along the way.
