About this event
TanzTageTempelhof (Dancing Days Tempelhof) is a Contact Improvisation festival held at Schloss Tempelhof, a living intentional community and ecovillage about 10 km east of Crailsheim in Baden-Württemberg. The 2026 edition runs August 4–9 with the theme 'Tanzen – Forschen – Sein' (Dancing – Researching – Being) and is open to all experience levels. The festival is structured around three parallel intensive tracks: Sabine Parzer (Austria) leads 'Tonus Awareness,' exploring tone and listening in contact; Antoine Ragot (Berlin) offers 'Contact as Compass,' using CI as an orientation and navigation practice; and Ulli Wittemann (Munich) teaches 'Im Auge des Orkans' (In the Eye of the Storm) for intermediate to advanced dancers. Beyond the intensives, the programme includes afternoon workshops, research labs, and evening jams with live music. A Contact Kids programme is available for children aged 5–12 (max 12, €50–80). The festival pass covers all programmes plus vegetarian, organic, largely farm-grown meals from the Schloss Tempelhof community kitchen. Accommodation is booked separately: tent, camper, dorm, or private room. A non-refundable €150 deposit reserves your place; the balance is paid in cash on arrival. Schloss Tempelhof has about 130 residents and features a school, community café, guesthouse, and surrounding hilly landscape.
