KontaktLand — the Hungarian Contact Improvisation Festival, held annually at Három Kincs Völgye (Three Treasures Valley) in the hills near Bátonyterenye, one and a half hours from Budapest. The 2026 edition runs 14–28 July and is divided into three modules, each with its own focus and international teachers: Module 1 — "Learning from touching" (Jul 14–18): Kirstie Simson (UK) & Ray Chung (US) Module 2 — "Reunion — CI Jam gathering" (Jul 19–23): Kirstie Simson, Ray Chung, KJ Holmes, Andrew Harwood, Eszter Gál (HU) & Éva Karczag (HU) Module 3 — "CI and its performative forms" (Jul 24–28): KJ Holmes (US) & Andrew Harwood (CA) Music by Ádám Darázs (module 1) and Attila Gyárfás (module 2); module 3 musicians TBA. Daily programme includes intensives, open jams, performances, Underscore, morning practice, bodywork, sauna, and rest in nature. The venue features a boat lake, tea pavilion, meditation room, and two spacious dance studios. Community: research and nature are the guiding principles of the festival. Separate registration available per module. Price per module (festival fee + venue): Festival fee: 90,000 HUF (super early bird, before 1 Mar) / 108,000 HUF (early bird, before 1 Apr) / 126,000 HUF (normal) Venue (3 meals/day + snacks + sauna + accommodation): 76,000 HUF camping / 83,000 HUF room Deposit: 54,000 HUF per module (non-refundable). Hungarian financial discount available (max 25 people). Modules 1 & 2 are full. Module 3 (Jul 24–28, KJ Holmes & Andrew Harwood) is still open for registration.
