Part of the 12th season of Movement Artisans - Dance as a Research Practice, a modular training developed by Antoine Ragot and Kira Kirsch exploring the moving body through anatomy, physics, perception, improvisation, and relationship, drawing on Contact Improvisation, the Axis Syllabus, somatic practices, contemporary dance, and embodied research. This Introductory Module, "Finding Paths Through and Between," covers Spheres of Activity (passages in the gravitational field, weaving horizontals and verticals), The Anatomical Center (organizing movement from within), and Weaving Lineages, an embodied somatic history session with guest teacher Peter Pleyer.
