Valentina Gombi discovered Contact Improvisation in 2007 and has been dancing through all its waves ever since — jams, workshops, and festivals across Australia, Italy, the United States, and Canada. What keeps her engaged is the ever-changing, infinite possibilities, trajectories, and connections the form offers, alongside its fun, inclusive, and aware community. After 25 years of practising and teaching Thai Massage, she found a new way to be of service to the CI world: as an organiser. Known for her love of bringing people together and her instinct for logistical puzzles, her problem-solving skills found an unexpected home in CI. When Hamzah Mas casually asked about a national gathering, she heard herself say yes — and together they co-founded the Australian Contact Festival.
