Chris Cahoon is an improviser based in Brooklyn, New York, who practices Contact Improvisation with an "art-sport" approach, combining a team-sports background with early studies in Authentic Movement and Skinner Releasing Technique. His artistic interests center on the spherical body in space, observing reflexes, and playing with states of physicality; influential teachers include Paul Singh, Bradley Ellis, and Alicia Grayson. He teaches Contact Improvisation classes and facilitates jam sessions throughout New York City.
