Steffen Zander

About

Munich-based musician, educator, and Alexander Technique practitioner. Trained as a teacher of mathematics and music in Cologne; studied music education at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and jazz piano at the Richard Strauss Conservatory with Tizian Jost. Also trained in Alexander Technique (Alexander Hermann, ATAZ Munich) and Tai Chi. Has played in bands since youth, accompanied singers, written choral arrangements, taught piano, drums, and vocal training, and directed choirs. Performs in musical cabaret and gives dance concerts with improvised live music with the group "instant sonic". Plays from piano to drums, from ethereal sounds to driving rhythms — spontaneously and without genre boundaries.
