Rafia Sieglin

About

A lifelong longing for dance and movement — inner and outer — led her in 1985 to train as a Dance-Alive teacher / healing-dance pedagogue. That work took her into varied settings: children's and youth groups, adult work in different contexts, and eventually her own dance theatre group. In 1995 she discovered the Dances of Universal Peace (Friedenstänze), which have accompanied her intensively ever since; she is now a mentor and trainer with the IMV (Internationaler MentorenVerband). For more than 15 years she has worked with war-traumatized women in Bosnia — work that has taught her a great deal. Teaches workshops at Living Contact Dance Festival.
