About

Founder of Contact Festival Kuala Lumpur (est. 2011), the first Contact Improvisation festival in Southeast Asia. Discovered dance in 2000 through contemporary and classical forms, then dance improvisation in 2004. Has studied, practiced, and taught CI since 2005, beginning in Sydney, Australia. His dance works have been shown in Kuala Lumpur (National Art Gallery, Damansara Performing Arts Centre, MAP @ Publika, KL Performing Arts Centre, Rimbun Dahan) and internationally (Melaka, Kota Kinabalu, Phnom Penh, Seoul, Düsseldorf, Berlin), and has taught workshops across Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and Germany. Holds a degree in Philosophy and Linguistics and is editor-in-chief of Langkah, an online dance periodical.
