About
Brandon Gonzalez is an interdisciplinary dance artist, choreographer, and educator based in Austin, Texas. His practice centers on the transformational power of dance as ritual, exploring presence and embodied connection as creative pathways. With over 15 years of experience, he has organized dance events throughout Austin and taught Contact Improvisation across the US and internationally. He is an Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Texas State University, and has been a co-organizing member of the Texas Dance Improvisation Festival since its inception. He holds a BFA in Studio Art from Texas State University and an MFA in Dramatic Arts from UC Davis.
