About this event

BROTA is a self-organized Contact Improvisation gathering in the mountains of El Bierzo, proposing contemplation and silence as a foundation for practice, in deep connection with the body, the group, and nature. Facilitated by Sara Trujillo, with live music by Jose Esteban. Practices include Contact Improvisation, instant composition and improvisation, walks, vipassana meditation, and eco-somatic pedagogy. Open to all who wish to deepen their CI practice and its connection to everyday life. Contribution (€180–280 sliding scale, chosen based on personal means) includes lunch and dinner with seasonal produce, and workshops indoors and outdoors; it does not include accommodation or breakfast. Shared-room lodging is available separately at Albergue Balboa (a 2-minute walk from the dance space) for €20/night. Limited to 28 participants. Registration closes August 15 at 21:00 (a €50 deposit holds a spot).
