Mario Blanco is a Contact Improvisation dancer and facilitator with a background in formal law education. He began dancing Contact Improvisation eight years ago in Buenos Aires, Argentina, discovering possibilities in mindful flow without resorting to external teachings. His practice has taken him to Thailand, Mexico, Brazil, Portugal, Turkey, and Egypt, before recently relocating to Norway, where he is based in Oslo and affiliated with Kloke Kropper. Beyond dance, he is a professional freediver and instructor who developed an underwater practice called OceanDance. His work emphasizes authenticity and the quality of being present, expressed through Contact Improvisation, Authentic Movement, somatic practices, silent retreats, contemplative dance, and meditation.
