About
Dance artist known as "Måsen," active for over 37 years. Began as an apprentice with the dance group Vindhäxor in Stockholm in 1986, the same year he first encountered Contact Improvisation; trained further as a dancer in France (1987–91). A 1989 trip to New York deepened his CI practice through contact with the established CI community there. Teaching and performing Contact Improvisation since 1993, both in Sweden and internationally, including regularly at Stockholm's University College of Dance and Circus (DOCH). Works as artistic leader, choreographer, dancer, pedagogue, and project leader, and runs the nonprofit cultural association Avart Dans & Rörelse, which organizes Floating on Flesh.
