Kostia Cerda
About
Kostia Cerda is a lover of danced movement, acrobatic mobility, and clown gesture. Coming from martial arts, from Karate to Aikido falls, he went on to train in contemporary dance (Centre des Arts Vivants) and circus acrobatics (Les Noctambules de Nanterre). Attentive to questions of artistic and environmental transmission, he works with young audiences through Cie Les Cils and Acta, across schools, theatres, and gardens. Playful and an improviser, curious to break down boundaries between art forms, he takes part in numerous site-specific dance performance collectives (Cie Les Chemins de la Danse, Love Labo, Cie Kamamuta, Collectif In Touch), centered on his favorite practice since 2017, Contact Improvisation. To keep exploring crossroads, he has expanded his range with theatrical acting under Magali Serra (Cie Le L.E.D), clown with Juan Lautero Veneziale, and the "movement theatre" of Claire Lamothe (Cie HBBB), with whom he currently tours the piece Momentum. His personal curiosity now leads him toward more artistic and pedagogical research into the link between collaborative relationship and conflictual situation (between Systema and Contact Improvisation), tinged with clowning and danced chatter.
