Hugh Stanier

About

Hugh Stanier is a movement educator, facilitator, performer, and bodyworker with over 20 years of international teaching experience in Contact Improvisation and contemporary dance. He began dancing in breakdancing during his early teens, then transitioned to contemporary dance at Northern School of Contemporary Dance. He has performed with companies including Wim Vandekeybus/Ultima Vez, 2Faced Dance, TrashDollys, and Tom Dale Company, and collaborated with Freddie Oppoku Addaie. His focus centers on body-mind connection through personalized bodywork sessions and dance intensives. He co-facilitates the Rooted in Motion training with Vega Luukkonen.
