About
Dancer, choreographer, performer, and pedagogue. Began contemporary dance in 1973 after studying film at Paris VIII, then discovered Contact Improvisation in 1978 with Steve Paxton and Lisa Nelson at the Centre International de la Sainte-Baume workshop, working afterward with the founding "Atelier Contact" group. Co-founded the Association Danse Contact Improvisation in 1980 and was the first professor of Contact Improvisation at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (1995–2013), also teaching at Paris VIII. Has run a contact improvisation jam in Paris for about thirty years and co-runs CI Partage with Cléo Laigret and Anne Catherine Nicoladzé.
