About
Organizer and Contact Improvisation dance teacher from Extremadura, Spain. Social educator, cultural anthropologist, and Gestalt therapist with a gender perspective; facilitator of group processes. Interested in the synergies between CI, voice, sound, and movement improvisation and how these practices affect perception, subjectivity, health, and modes of relationship. Fell in love with Contact Improvisation in 2005 and has taught it since 2010. Since 2017 lives in and manages La Enramada, an art and creation space in the Vera Valley (Cáceres), where she works as a therapist and hosts workshops, residencies, cultural events, and regular CI classes and jams. Has taught at festivals including Asturias, Madrid, Cardedeu, Malloak (Lecumberri), Italy, and La Provenza, and events including Pirineos en Danza, Namoreira, Itineranzza, WIM Festival, and FestCAM. Co-organizes the CI Meeting "Danzas Magas," the residential "Espacios ( ) entre la vida y la danza" (with Lucía Sánchez), the meeting "Enramando" (with Ernesto Novales), and the workshop "Color y movimiento" (with Leticia Ruifernández). Also coordinates co-educational gender-equality projects in schools and women's associations in the La Vera region. Co-organizes Inmersiones CI Festival.
