The Relational Body

About this event

"The Relational Body" — an immersive workshop in embodied awareness and movement, facilitated by Irene Sposetti and José Tomás Olavarría at Zazil Retreat Centre, San Agustinillo, Oaxaca, part of BeingMotion's InContact Program 26. Grounded in Contact Improvisation, somatic and functional movement research, dance-making, contemporary dance, and Qi Gong, the workshop explores the body as a channel for energy, vitality, and creativity. Focus areas: grounding and responsiveness; integrative movement foundations; touch, gravity, and spherical motion; CI partnering and shared balance; presence, attunement, and real-time composition; breath, vital energy, and fascial activation; voice work and singing. Open to all levels, beginner-friendly. Sessions in English and Spanish. Bring a T-shirt, long pants or soft kneepads, a water bottle, and snacks. Schedule: 19 March 15:30–19:00; 20–22 March 10:30–17:30. Sliding-scale contribution across budget/standard/capacity tiers, with early-bird discount before 8 March; the budget tier is intended for those with limited finances or from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
