Yochai Ginton

Independent dance artist and teacher based in Israel, born 1981, with around 20 years of experience in Contact Improvisation. Teaches workshops, intensives, and courses at dance schools and institutions across Israel and abroad. Trained at the Dancers' Workshop in Kibbutz Ga'aton and the Maslool Professional Training program, and has worked with choreographers including Sally-Anne Friedland, Nima Jaakoby, Sharona Florsheim, Talia Beck, and Dafi Altabeb. Former member of the Oktet Dance Improvisation Group; has participated in an improvisation project with the Beijing Dance Company and tours and performs internationally. His teaching centers on the crossroads between improvised contact and contemporary partnering work.
