About
Saliq Savage has been creating beautiful spaces, assisting babies, teaching contact improvisation, and developing organizational structures for over 25 years. He is a Body-Mind Centering® Certified Practitioner and Teacher, as well as a BMC® Infant Developmental Movement Educator. He's an autodidact of contact improvisation and has been part of the Underscore +/- Group since Nancy Stark Smith initiated it in 2010 in Northampton, Massachusetts. He co-directed Wire Monkey Dance Company with Jen Polins, performing at Ponderosa Tanzland, Lincoln Center Out of Doors (New York, NY, US), Cyclorama (Boston, MA, US), Smith College (Northampton, MA, US), and in Taipei and Macau from 2000-2010. In 2015, Saliq created Seminarhaus TaubenBlau in Stolzenhagen, which hosts workshops and retreats in yoga, meditation, and team-building. Since 2016, he has been developing KulturPark Stolpe with Uli Kaiser, transforming a defunct cement factory into a multidimensional creative community. He lives in both Northampton, MA, US and Stolzenhagen, Germany.
