Rick Nodine

About

Rick Nodine is a dancer, choreographer, and Contact Improvisation teacher based in London. He began dancing socially as a teenager and trained in modern dance, performing with British contemporary dance companies throughout the 1990s. His choreographic work spans diverse venues, from major opera houses to galleries and warehouse parties, and now incorporates installation art and participatory elements. He started teaching Contact Improvisation in 1996 and expanded into performance improvisation, solo dancing, ensemble composition, and voice/movement techniques, spending two decades teaching composition and improvisation at London Contemporary Dance School. Internationally recognized, he has led workshops in over 40 cities across 12 countries and guest taught at institutions including The Royal Ballet School, Tanzfabrik Berlin, and National Taiwan University of Arts, and has taught company class for Rambert Dance Company and Punchdrunk.
