The Summer CI Retreat 2026 is a 6-day residential Contact Improvisation intensive led by Rick Nodine at Gaia Terra Ecovillage in Flambruzzo (Udine), Friuli-Venezia Giulia, northern Italy. Halina Rozensztrauch co-leads with daily somatic and bodywork sessions. The retreat's central themes are Tender — the vulnerability and kindness discovered in sustained contact — and Agility, the physical and relational responsiveness that deepens through practice. Each day includes CI workshops covering somatic exploration, technique and patterns, and open exploration, alongside daily jams, bodywork sessions, and free time in the ecovillage with swimming in a nearby river. All prices include the full week-long programme, organic vegan locally-sourced meals, and accommodation.
