Lilianna Kane

About

Lilianna Kane is a dancer and chef committed to Contact Improvisation as a physical practice of asking questions, paying attention, patience, and peace. She values the interplay of rigour, rest, discipline, and play, and teaches and shares her practice nationally and internationally. She is currently head chef and CI programme coordinator at The Field Center (a centre for performance, dance, and multimedia art) in Bellows Falls, Vermont, where she regularly practises, teaches, and researches Contact Improvisation. Her approach draws on Barbara Dilley's Contemplative Dance Practice, framing CI as a philosophical, relational, and somatic pursuit.
