About
Transdisciplinary choreographer, performer, and researcher with more than 20 years of Contact Improvisation practice across Amsterdam, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Riverside, and Lisbon. Holds a degree in Dance from the Technical University of Lisbon, a degree in New Dance Development from the Amsterdam School of the Arts, a Master's in Creative Arts from San Francisco State University, and a PhD in Dance History and Theory from the University of California, Riverside. Co-founded Contacto Improvisação Lisboa Jam in 2006, one of Lisbon's earliest organized Contact Improvisation jams, and the Festival Danças Híbridas in 2013. Now an associate researcher at GAIPS/INESC-ID and CIAC-UAberta, working at the intersection of dance and technology.
