Iris Nais

Iris Nais is a movement artist, performer, and interdisciplinary dancer, and the founder of Body In Nature and HASHMUROT — platforms exploring movement, creation, and embodied presence in wild environments. She danced with the Batsheva Dance Company and continues to perform as a member of the site-responsive ensemble Lashevet Lakum. For almost two decades, Contact Improvisation and embodied research in wild nature have been central to her practice, alongside a continuing exploration of participatory and site-responsive creation. Her work has been shaped by encounters and studies with Ohad Naharin, Julyen Hamilton, and Anna Halprin.
