About
Professor and Chair of the Department of Theatre Arts at California State University Long Beach. His CI practice weaves in meditation, Aikido, and acrobatics, inspired by Nancy Stark Smith, Ray Chung, Mike Vargas, Nita Little, and Steve Paxton. Has taught at International Contact Festival Freiburg, Poland Contact Festival, West Coast CI Jam, Seattle Festival for Dance Improvisation, Oberlin CI@50, Jam on Orcas Island, and many more. Through his research company Bad Goat Dance, studies Dirt Work and Cloud Tectonics as methods for bringing bodies closer to the earth and each other.
