About
Artistic Director, Choreographer, and Dance Teacher based in Alnwick, Northumberland, working as a specialist in dance and movement for 25 years, creating "a safe and exciting space to move and be moved" through child-led teaching methods. Runs Dansformation, working throughout Northumberland and the North East of England with professional dancers, young people (including SEN settings), and older dancers. Currently completing a PhD in dance and health (2024-2026); holds an MA in Dance Performance (mapDance). Has worked with the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art and Dance City creating movement and drawing programmes for children in County Durham schools, and led a Heritage Lottery funded project researching the lost dances of Northumberland, working with 150 young people over three years across 5 rural schools and local care homes to learn, notate, and create traditional dances.
