Asher Levin

About

Asher Levin has been dancing Contact Improvisation since age 16 — over 35 years. He studied Dance, Drama and Theatre Arts at the University of Birmingham (BA 1994–97) and physical theatre at École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, Paris (diploma 2000–01). He taught regular CI classes in Berlin for 7 years, running K77 Studio for 5 of those years. Since 2021 he has led intensives across the UK (Devon, Cornwall, Bristol, London, Sheffield, Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh, Dundee) and runs Basics to Beyond, a 6-month CI course now in its third year. He has taught at Emerging Hearts CI festival, Buddhafield, Rumble 2025, Scottish School of Contemporary Dance, and Scottish Dance Theatre.
