Angi Bowles

About

Angi Bowles is a Sydney-based Contact Improvisation facilitator, bodyworker, and dancer-researcher. She has been part of the CI community for over eight years, including four years of teaching, and is interested in how the foundations of the form are experienced, shared, and sustained over time. Her current interests explore touch as a relational entry point โ€” as trigger, information, and sensing โ€” and how this shapes timing, responsiveness, and relating in improvisation. She is particularly drawn to the shifting relational states that emerge between dancers. Her approach is informed by a background in dance, martial arts, and bodywork, where she continues to refine her sensitivity to the ways touch can listen, communicate, and reorganise experience.
