CI Residency

About this event

Tänzerdorf-Residency, 10–20 October 2026, at Tänzerdorf in the Black Forest. Once again we want to go deep over 10 days in a small CI residency group of 15–22 people — immersing in community, dance, silence, embodiment, and processing. For some of us this is our favourite format, and true Tänzerdorf life. We want to live community with courage, curiosity, and openness — perceiving what wants and is allowed to emerge, with mutual consideration and respect. We are also still building, and are open to further companions, dancers, or occasional co-residents. The residency offers an experience and exploration of being together without a fully fixed daily or weekly programme — the emphasis is on living together, getting to know each other, finding the group, being creative and in contact with one another, with plenty of room for retreat and integration. Sabine Parzer (AT) will lead half-day workshops on 6 of the 11 days (14–19 October), focusing on Contemporary Dance Improvisation, Contact Improvisation, Feldenkrais principles, developmental movement patterns, and Somatics. Daily dancing, mostly as a CI jam — daily practice (meditation, sharing, silence, singing/toning, bodywork...) — communal cooking and house-care time — deep, heartfelt contact within the group, showing up and growing together — researching and letting things happen — bodily wisdom and conversation — being human — experiencing community — plenty of room for spontaneity and creativity. Prices include registration and accommodation. Food is extra, organised as a shared, solidarity-based food kitty on-site: around €130–200 for the 11 days at the regular price, €80–130 at the scholarship price, paid in cash on-site.
