The Way of Joining

About this event

The Way of Joining is a five-day Contact Improvisation workshop and performance-creation project, led by international CI artist and teacher Yasuko Suzuki. Starting from contact, weight, listening, bodily relationship, and shared movement, participants move through body practice, jams, creative rehearsal, and live presentation toward expression and performance. Open to all experience levels — beginners, first-timers, CI practitioners, dancers, performers, and artists. Live presentations tentatively scheduled for the evenings of August 29–30. Ways to join include full participation, first-three-days-only, practitioner/co-creating-artist applications, or support roles (observation, translation, photo/video). Registration via WeChat after application and payment. Initiated by Zhang Xiao and Prima-Somas Embodied Practice Studio.
