About this event
What happens when we step outside our familiar patterns, our habitual ways of moving, relating and responding? In dance as in life we tend to repeat known movements, known rhythms and known relational dynamics, and while those patterns offer a sense of safety they can also limit spontaneity, creativity and authentic connection. Two days with Áron Kiss exploring what it means to move beyond these habitual scripts and step into the unknown, asking when movement stops being discovery and becomes repetition, and when connection becomes choreography. Through solo exploration and guided improvisation the workshop builds confidence in your own movement and a closer listening to the body, working with how habitual patterns, held tension and physical blockages can soften so that movement arises with more freedom and ease. Contact Improvisation is combined with right-hemisphere practices, movement meditation, sensory exploration and disorientation to refine perception, attention and the ability to respond, with exercises in rhythm and variation, moving too fast and too slowly and past the familiar comfort zone, and particular emphasis on intuition and on recognising subtle bodily signals as they arise. Both days run 11:00 to 13:30 and 15:30 to 18:30. Registration is final on payment of a 10,000 HUF deposit, which is non-refundable except if the organizers cancel.
