Movement Hunter Summer Residency

About this event

Flowing into the depths of water and nature: a 7-day summer residency in the Le Marche region of Italy (22–30 August 2026), combining water dance, Contact Improvisation, Tango, Tai-Chi, Play Fight, physical creativity, evolutionary movement, voice & singing circles, and mindfulness/somatic practice. The residency invites participants to reconnect physically and emotionally with water and nature, expand their movement, emotional and creative vocabulary, deepen mindfulness and somatic awareness, and explore consensual touch, breath, and voice within an ephemeral community — like a hero's journey descending into the depths of water to return transformed. Daily program: 6–7 hours of outdoor and indoor movement practice plus dance & music jams, with open space for participants to contribute their own experience, and a group trip to the beach. Open to people of all ages and experience levels. Held at the farmhouse Agriturismo Gaia, near Ostra Vetere (close to Senigallia), Ancona — featuring a large pool, an indoor studio, varied room/camping options, a large kitchen, grill, and gardens. Doors open Saturday 22 August at 11:00 through Sunday 30 August; a reduced minimum stay of 4 days is possible, with early arrival possible from Friday 21 August evening. Workshop cost only (sliding scale, does not include accommodation or food): €420–455 until 21 July, €455–490 after. Discounts available for students, unemployed, and tight budgets. Accommodation (all options include breakfast): €24/night (camping/tent), €28/night (bungalow for 2 or dome for 6), €32/night (room for 4, own bathroom), €37/night (room for 2, own bathroom), €39/night (apartment for 3 or 4, own bathroom + kitchenette). Food: €150–200 group contribution for the week, shopping and cooking done together.
