Inspiral CI Intensive Workshop — TOWARDS CI54

About this event

TOWARDS CI54 — a 4-week summer residency and intensive workshop in Contact Improvisation at Chiang Dao Youth Camp, an open-air dance space beneath Doi Luang Mountain in northern Thailand, beside a small stream and 10 minutes from a natural hot spring. The 54th edition of the long-running Towards CI series, led by Sasha Dodo and Dolores Dewhurst Marks. The programme is inquiry-based: participants are invited to approach CI as a transformative practice and cutting-edge art form, cultivating readiness for radical change and deepening their connection with nature's forces and wisdom. Daily work includes solo practices for preparing the body-mind, study of falling and rolling, fundamental principles of CI with emphasis on continuity of attention, ensemble practices, retrospectives, and open research time.
