About this event
The 14th edition of Adrian Russi's Contact Improvisation advanced training in Bern, for participants with a solid base in CI who want to dive deep into the form within an ongoing, consistent group across four weekends (October 2026 - February 2027). The training explores movement technique, improvisation, and jamming, aiming for individual progress alongside a better understanding of CI's dynamics and complexity as a group. The focus is on lightness and precision in movement grounded in differentiated body awareness, so that flying, falling together, moving upside-down, and following through become part of the improvisational vocabulary rather than isolated technique, keeping a solo aspect alive within the Contact duet and allowing smooth transitions between solo, duet, trio, and group. Every weekend opens Friday night with a focused jam, ideally with all training participants present, followed by classes Saturday and Sunday. Each participant is offered a short individual lesson with feedback, if desired. An optional and recommended Christmas Workshop runs December 27-30, 2026, as an extension of the training. Sleeping in the studio is possible; participation is at each person's own risk (insurance is each participant's own responsibility).
