Asturias Contact Festival 2026 — 10th Edition August 20–26, Lourenzá, Galicia, Spain A week-long Contact Improvisation festival in the green valley of Lourenzá (Lugo, Galicia), along the Masma River. The festival takes place at the Multiusos Fonte de Cuñas municipal venue, featuring a large hall with floating dance floor, adjacent dining area, and outdoor space for campervans. PROGRAM: ON FESTIVAL (Fri Aug 21 afternoon – Wed Aug 26): • Morning intensive with Dagmar Bock (10h, Sat–Tue): Axis Syllabus, Contact Improvisation, and Tai Chi principles through biomechanics and applied anatomy • Afternoon intensive with Sergio Palomares (8h, Fri–Sun): Acrobatic principles in CI — inversions, spherical movement, falling techniques • Creative journeys in Lourenzá & Mexota beach (6h, Mon & Wed) • Popurri afternoon: labs, debates, jam, screenings (3h, Tue) • 12+ hours of jam, including a special Sunday jam at a surprise location • 4 lunches + 5 dinners with organic, locally-sourced vegetarian catering by Luz Ernes – Ribeiregas (optional) OFF FESTIVAL (free & open to public): • Thu Aug 20: "What is CI?" interactive talk + open jam (18:00) • Fri Aug 21 morning: Introductory CI workshop for all ages (10:30–12:30) • Wed Aug 26 afternoon: Beach party at Only Locals, Tapia de Casariego XTRA FESTIVAL: Ritual saunas & river at Val de Lourenzá (€10–15) PRICING (early bird first 20 / regular): • With meals: €390 (early bird) / €440 (regular) • Without meals: €240 (early bird) / €290 (regular) • Helper with meals: €340 VENUE: Multiusos Fonte de Cuñas, Lourenzá, Lugo, Galicia, Spain Free accommodation: campervan area at venue + bunk rooms at municipal sports center (500m).
