Tevyn East

About

Tevyn East graduated from Hollins University with a degree in dance and has taught, performed, and produced work around the country. She studied with Nancy Stark Smith for over 200 hours and has more than 25 years of CI practice, having also studied with Martin Keogh, Lisa Nelson, Brad Stoller, and Karl Frost. She collaborated on immersive dance theater productions with the Zen Monkey Project, toured a one-woman show on global capitalism, and directed the Carnival de Resistance — a traveling art carnival and school for cultural transformation with seven residencies across the US between 2013 and 2018. She is now director of Dreaming Stone Arts and Ecology Center, where she hosts CI events.
