Olga Zitluhina

About

Choreographer, dancer, and professor at the Latvian Academy of Culture, where she directs the Bachelor's program in Contemporary Dance Art; also teaches at the Riga Choreography School. Founded the Olga Žitluhina Dance Company in 1996 — the first contemporary dance company in Latvia — and directs the annual international festival "Laiks Dejot" (Time to Dance), the largest contemporary dance festival in Latvia since 2006. Teaches contemporary dance technique, contact improvisation, and yoga across professional dance and drama schools as well as to dancers of all levels, and has taught at international contact improvisation festivals including Moldova Dance Festival Contact+.
