About
Lesley Greco is a manual practitioner (RMT, DOMP, D.Sc.O in Osteopathy and Cranial Osteopathy) whose work is devoted to learning, sharing, and creating through listening-based, cooperative, body-informed processes. She has practiced manual therapy since 1996, completed formal osteopathic training in 2019, and defended a doctoral dissertation on osteopathic listening in 2021, developing "Osteopathy in Motion," an interdisciplinary approach exploring attention and perception. Contact Improvisation has been part of her practice since being introduced to it in Toronto in 2001, alongside training in deep listening with composer Pauline Oliveros (since 2007) and voice work with Fides Krucker (graduating from her Emotionally Integrated Voice Method teacher training in 2023). She began teaching CI in 2009, assisting Pam Johnson at Humber College's School of Performing Arts, and has since taught at Humber College, Ryerson University, York University, the University of Guelph, the National Ballet, and Leviathan Studio, alongside her private and community teaching. Her writing includes an essay in The Anthology of Essays on Deep Listening (2012) and "The Small Dances of Listening" in Resistance and Support: Contact Improvisation @ 50 (Oxford University Press, 2024).
