Irina Jabsa

About

Artist, dancer, choreographer, and professor at the National University of the Arts (UNA) in Buenos Aires, holding a degree in choreographic composition focused on Dance-Theater. Her practice spans tango, contemporary dance, and theater; directed works including "Ida," "Ensayo a dos cuerpos," and co-directed "MujerPollera." Co-founded Tangalácticas (tango with "a futuristic and feminist perspective") and La Mutante, which combines Contact Improvisation with tango (contactango). Organizes the TangoContact Buenos Aires Festival (with Guadalupe Santiago) and Festival Cambalache, and teaches dance and tango throughout Buenos Aires.
