Cara Graninger

Detroit-based dancer and arts educator specializing in dance improvisation and arts integration, in Detroit since 1993. Began her own Contact Improvisation practice in 1992, first studying at the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival, and developed her skills through instruction from teachers including Martin Keogh, Ray Chung, and Nancy Stark Smith. Teaching Contact Improvisation since 2001. Holds DanceAbility teacher certification, facilitating dance for movers with disabilities. Regularly participates in the Ann Arbor and Detroit Sunday Jams and the Annual GLACIER retreat, where she has been a co-founder supporter since 2000.
