About
Angie Hauser is a Bessie Award-winning performer, choreographer, and director, trained in modern and postmodern dance, ballet, and Contact Improvisation, with an MFA in dance from Ohio State University. A long-time collaborator with the Bebe Miller Company since 2000 (as dancer, performer, writer, and choreographic collaborator), she has also danced with the companies of Elizabeth Streb, Liz Lerman, and Poppo Shiriashi. She is a Professor at Smith College, Director of the MFA in Dance Program, and a member of the Five College Dance Faculty, teaching choreography, the creative process, contemporary technique, and dance improvisation. She has taught Contact Improvisation and dance improvisation throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, as well as in Colombia and Peru.
