A 6-day retreat dedicated to movement, Contact Improvisation, and somatic embodiment at Estúdio Yucca — a secluded farmland arts space near Cabanas de Tavira, minutes from the Atlantic coast and the Ria Formosa nature reserve. The retreat explores the foundations of movement through Contact Improvisation, Authentic Movement, somatic practices, improvisation, and creativity. The philosophy: meaningful experiences don't need to be spectacular — the richest discoveries emerge from slowing down, listening deeply, and paying attention to simple details. What to expect: • Contact Improvisation and movement research • Somatic and embodiment practices • Authentic Movement • Improvisation and creativity • Live music and evening jams • Nourishing vegetarian meals (3 per day) • Community living and connection with nature Open to experienced movers and complete beginners alike. Prices include all classes and jams, 3 vegetarian meals per day, use of the movement and community space, and camping fee. Half-program options available (21–23 or 24–26 July).
