About this event
The 7th Contact Improvisation Festival Leipzig — five days of workshops, jams, and performances at Haus Steinstraße in Leipzig (October 21–25, 2026), organised by the Contactimpro Leipzig community. The programme weaves together morning intensives, afternoon classes and open offerings, and evening jams. The festival aims to create a welcoming, consent-aware space for dancers of all backgrounds and experience levels — from beginners to long-term practitioners. It has a family-friendly, queer-friendly atmosphere with published community guidelines. This edition features Miriam Bovenschen and Alessandro Rivellino as guest teachers. Miriam Bovenschen is a Leipzig-based dancer, teacher, and one of the festival's organisers, known for her work in Contact Improvisation and contemporary dance. Alessandro Rivellino has been practising and teaching dance and Contact Improvisation for over 17 years, having taught in 23 countries and organised festivals across Europe and Latin America. Accommodation and meals are not provided — participants arrange these independently. The venue is centrally located in Leipzig with restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Registration via anmeldung@contactimpro-leipzig.de.
