A 6-day residential Contact Improvisation workshop at Studio Burdąg in the countryside near Jedwabno, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship — in the lake district of northeastern Poland. Facilitated by Katja Mustonen (FI), with Jasu Parviainen as assistant. They have been in artistic collaboration since 2019. The workshop is aimed at dancers with previous CI experience who want to deepen their inquiry. Materials alternate between solo, duo, trio, and group scores. Hands-on exercises play a central role in softening, tuning, and preparing the body. Core principles explored: falling / landing / flying, spirals, off-balance and balance, support, level-changes (vertical and horizontal), sensing rhythm and dynamics. Sessions include bodywork, laboratory space for emerging research questions, and integration jams. "For me, contact improvisation is a constant field of play and a mobile terrain for inquiry and research.
