About this event
A residential Contact Improvisation weekend camp in Cheshire, held at Beech Hill Community — a step beyond the rhythm of a weekly class or jam, to spend a few days living inside the practice. Run by Common Body Collective: Alexander Dodgson, Lily Antonia, and Mungo Dalglish, with creative contributions from the wider CI community. **Schedule:** Thu Jul 30 — Arrival evening + informal jam Fri Jul 31–Sun Aug 2 — Three full days: two facilitated sessions each day, free time between (rest, land, sauna, connection), evening open jams with guided introductions for newer and experienced dancers alike Mon Aug 3 — Closing afternoon **Practice:** Weight sharing, balance, timing, listening through touch, falling, flying, group awareness. Classes introduce material; jams give space to develop and keep dancing. The aim is enough structure to support the practice, with plenty of space to enjoy being together. **Who it's for:** Open to new movers and ongoing practitioners. What matters most is curiosity, care, and a willingness to participate. Group size: approximately 30–40 people. **Included:** 3 full days workshops and practice, evening jams, camping, shared organic plant-based meals, land access, sauna. **Sliding scale:** £200 Reduced / £240 Standard / £280 Supporter (Further support may be available on request) Apply via the form.
