Heike Kuhlmann

Heike Kuhlmann (she/they) holds an MSME and MA in Performance Studies/Choreography, is a Body-Mind Centering® practitioner, dancer, dance educator, and choreographer, and is a learner in the Discipline of Authentic Movement. She has taught Contact Improvisation for over 20 years, organizes the Pfingstjam, and is part of the Südsternjam collective. She has organized various formats, including for ECITE 2014, with a particular focus on dancing across body sizes. Her work centers on somatic practice with Body-Mind Centering® and Authentic Movement, and she accompanies somatic processes through individual sessions, courses, workshops, and trainings, with attention to structural conditions. She is a co-founder of the Arbeitskreis Kritische Somatik (Critical Somatics Working Group), and her artistic interests connect dance, activism, and somatics.
