Alexandra Wuzyk
About
Alexandra Wuzyk is a multidisciplinary artist from South Africa who studied Fine Art at LUCA School of Arts in Belgium. Her practice centers on the "moment of meeting" through interactive performances and projects inviting people into co-creational, embodied roles, spanning painting, film, poetry, and performance. She discovered Contact Improvisation in 2020 and has since studied extensively with TOWARDS, an institute focused on embodied arts in Thailand, with teachers including Sasha Dodo, Dolores Dewhurst-Marks, and Kirstie Simson. Recent work includes teaching Contact Improvisation at Forgotten Angle Theatre Collaborative in South Africa (2023) and organizing community initiatives in Thailand, including the Towards Open House and "Weaving the World We Love," a five-week research group for CI practitioners exploring global challenges and embodied values (February 2025).
