Adriana Víquez

Adriana Víquez (CR/ESP) is a performing artist, movement researcher and facilitator of Contact Improvisation. Born in Granada, Spain, she studied flamenco and Spanish dance until her 20s in a professional school of dance, and in recent years has shifted toward butoh, dance improvisation and experimental expression. Her work is highly influenced by the wisdom of eastern traditions, with meditation as a fundamental pillar of her daily practice. She is based in Portugal at Quinta Ten Chi, a place dedicated to embodied practices, community and nature, where they organize dance workshops, festivals and artistic residencies.
